LATEST CUSTOM WORK: GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT, STATIONERY, LOGOS, WEDDING

It's been so exciting to have so much custom design work coming in lately! I feel so blessed to get to work with such great clients on so many fun projects. I plan to have a custom work portfolio on the Charm & Gumption website soon (if I can find some extra time!), but until then, here is some of my recent work.

CUSTOM WORK: NEW YEAR'S EVE WEDDING INVITATIONS

Today I wanted to share a custom project that I worked on for a friend of mine who is getting married on New Year's Eve. Karen and Tim were wanting invitations that would set the tone for their wedding, which is going to be a very fun, sparkly celebration. They wanted bold typography and lots of color.

I heat embossed these tags with gold ink to bind her different pieces together inside the envelope.

I also printed metallic gold confetti onto the front of the envelopes with my letterpress. They turned out really shiny in person because of the contrasting gold on deep purple.

These envelopes were addressed with a metallic silver pen (though it photographs white).

Overall I think her invitations captured the celebratory spirit of her wedding that she was wanting and I think they will get people excited about toasting the new year with her and her new hubby.

Thanks, Karen & Tim!

CUSTOM WORK: PAPER & CLAY

Today I wanted to share a custom project I did for a new Etsy shop called paper & clay that features handmade books and ceramics.

The owner of the shop, Brit Kroner, is a friend of mine who I met during my short time living in Austin, Texas. She wanted an identity design for her new shop that was clean, simple, and modern (like her work). For the logo, I was inspired by the circular movement of a potter's wheel, and the hand drawn element ties the paper part into the design.

After designing her logo, I also printed her business cards on my letterpress with hand mixed gray ink on soft, off white paper.

You should definitely check out her shop if you get the chance - she's got some really great, modern pieces (these aqua cream and sugar bowls are my favorite)! And the screenprinted tote bag (above) is also available for purchase.
