PORTER FLEA AIRCRAFT 2013

This past Friday and Saturday, I was a vendor at Nashville's Porter Flea for the first time. It was so much fun and I met so many great people!

(more after the jump!)

Having never done the Porter Flea before, I didn't really know what to expect. But despite being very hot on both days, it was still a really great time! I loved meeting all of the other vendors and browsing all of their products. There were some really cool things there. I came home with an aqua mug from Paper & Clay and 2 different kinds of TruBee Honey, which was right across from us and so delicious.

Highlights of the day:
- A sweet customer described C&G as "spunky Kate Spade". Love it.
- I met the ban.do girls who were in town from LA. As in, the owners of ban.do. As in, my favorite accessories brand (!). They noticed that I had one of their sparkly hearts sitting out for decoration. They bought some of my stuff (whaaat!) and signed up for my email list! LIFE. MADE.
- Eating Jeni's Ice Cream...because it's freaking delicious.
- Meeting the nicest people and having girls come up to the booth and smile. :) That's the goal here, people! It was also great to get a ton of customer feedback.

Wes constructed this cute and functional stationery stand for our booth. Isn't it cool? He's a handy one.

I hope I will be able to come back and do lots more of these shows - there's a holiday market in November that Wes and I have already been thinking of ideas for! :)

Have you ever been a vendor or shopped at a show like this? What are your favorite and least favorite parts?

  2. I love the new blog face lift! Looks so fresh!

What a great event for Charm & Gumption to be a part of. I will definitely check to see if NE Ohio has anything like this to get my shopping on to support local businesses and artists!
